Right now I'm busy setting up a new community blog to replace an old community blog, so I'm not quite around as much as I was. Never fear. Sinner of the Day will return, just not tomorrow.
And if you like sharing random links and debating the latest headlines with funny irreverent people who spend way too much time at the movies, reading in their hammocks, and consuming ungodly amounts of gin, join us.
Lady Penelope March 18, 2006 05:50 PM PST But as for the current very unimpressive bulletin board ... we needed a place to go in the interim, or things might've just fizzled.
Lady Penelope March 18, 2006 05:46 PM PST Thanks y'all. Stranger, if you want to check out the old site, visit catch.com. The front page was a political page, tthen off to the side there is a link to "links." It used to be a links only page, then we expanded to politics about two years ago. I did some writing and adminning there. When Kevin decided to call it quits, I couldn't bear to part with everybody, so we started talking almost immediately about how we would build Site 2. A few of us formed a band and the rest ... as they say ...
Brazen Hussy March 16, 2006 10:21 AM PST just found your site and did a kwik scan, saw your pic and have immediately added you to my bookmarkable bloglist! howzat for keeping the faith!
strangerina March 14, 2006 02:56 AM PST hey i can understand that. i was kinda wondering about fat jerry, because it def seems like a lower-end bb system (no offense). you've got a great group there, tho, and i've enjoyed it. can't wait to see what y'all come up with :D
Lady Penelope March 9, 2006 12:57 PM PST Yes, I am, but we're SOOOOO busy building the new site (Fat jerry is a temporary place until we get the new thing built) that I haven't the time. It's a combination of links and editorial content, entertainment/snark/politics. Its a lot easier to navigate than fat jerry, interactive but not a forum. I've had to put this on hold in the meantime (something's got to give!) though I sometimes miss it.
strangerina March 9, 2006 12:53 PM PST hey! i love fat jerry and all, but i miss my sinner of the day!!! you comin back or what?
;)
Lady Penelope February 23, 2006 09:49 PM PST Yes, and i promise it was an accident. Poor Bill. Sorry about that.
California Perv February 23, 2006 07:52 PM PST Shut up! Get out of town! Really?
Lady Penelope February 23, 2006 12:18 AM PST No, we were just trying to be cute and giving you a clever bill-only member moniker--not that member--and in so doing we accidentally deleted all your permissions.
Sorry, our goof. Not the site's fault, ours. You're up and running now!
California Perv February 22, 2006 08:22 PM PST I'm the token member leper. "Tears are queer tokens of happiness" (Eugene O'Neill).
When I was a lass of five, a nun told me that in order to get into heaven I had to be absolutely perfect--a saint. So I better start trying, she implied.
Fuck that shit. I dedicate this small piece of the web to celebrating sinners, the more unabashed the better, who bravely row against the current of religious tyranny. I meant it to be daily, but it's harder than you'd think to find quality sinners. They should ideally be non-repentent, shameless, proud. If the powers that be are trying to ban them, all the better. But I'd like to add that I'm not looking for assholes either. Sin and sincerity go together well, and sinfulness and sweetness are not mutually exclusive, as anyone who's ever had a Vosges truffle well knows. And piety's such a bore! So leave your sanctimony at the door, and nominate some A-plus sinners!
